Description

Garlic Butter Chicken is a savory, comforting dish with juicy chicken breasts coated in a rich and creamy garlic butter sauce. The garlic and herbs infuse the chicken with incredible flavor, and the sauce can be drizzled over the chicken for added richness.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  • Add the chicken broth to the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  • Stir in the heavy cream (if using) and bring the sauce to a simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it with the garlic butter sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to warm the chicken through.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.

Notes

  • For added richness, you can skip the chicken broth and use white wine instead.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic and herbs to suit your taste.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, you can let it simmer longer or add a little more cream.
