Description
Garlic Butter Chicken is a savory, comforting dish with juicy chicken breasts coated in a rich and creamy garlic butter sauce. The garlic and herbs infuse the chicken with incredible flavor, and the sauce can be drizzled over the chicken for added richness.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Add the chicken broth to the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Stir in the heavy cream (if using) and bring the sauce to a simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it with the garlic butter sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to warm the chicken through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
